I have lived in Tampa, Florida my whole life in close proximity to St. Pete Beach. I’ve spent a lot of time there. When our class was assigned to make a type dominant poster expressing their affinity for nature, it only made sense that I should choose St. Pete. The colors are mainly inspired by the “Don Cesar” (also known as the pink palace) pictured in the bottom of the poster. I really tried to convey the sense of nostalgia that this place gives me.
The wayfinding depicted here is meant to portray how to escape a house fire. As the way finding progresses further and further and the fire keeps rising, everything falls apart and the signage itself starts panicking. I wanted the idea of a house fire to represent anything that could make someone panic.
For this project we were assigned to create a book cover that concisely summarized the major topics.
I started with a collage that includes many historical figures in the field of agricultural history. I then overlayed a vine that weaves throughout each picture to show the branching paths of this cultural history.
This is a plaque that I laser printed onto. I was assigned the prompt and color of the plaque. I wanted the word boring to completeley contrast the rest of the prompt. (Laser printed serif fonts also just look cool.)
// sourcil bas! branded wine packaging.
// wizard riso animation.
My final project for motion design. A fully riso printed animation ended up being a tedious process. Who would have guessed. Worth it though.
I made this video for my motion design class. It follows a security officer operating the camera system to check in on different prisoners. I was very interested in the aesthetic of old computers and I wanted to try and replicate that. I wanted the sound to feel real like you were actually in the room with the person operating the computer hearing every click and whir the computer would make.
This was a video I made for the song “Lift” by Radiohead.
